MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
The Membership Committee has been moving forward on several new initiatives. A special
task force was developed in October to start an in-depth review of the Membership topics
in the Manual of Procedures. After lengthy weekly virtual meetings, the review has been
completed and the recommended changes have been forwarded to the Membership
Committee for analysis. Once the analysis is completed, it will be forwarded to the Board
of Directors for approval.
In December, the Annual Chapter Update (survey) was sent to IEC Chapters. We deeply
appreciate the chapters taking time from their busy schedules to complete the 60+
question survey. We also conducted a Member at Large Update this year to better
understand how to help those contractors who do not have a chapter near them. The
Membership Committee has brought together the Chapter Analysis Taskforce to review
the results of the survey to find better ways to assist IEC Chapters across the nation on
how to succeed in these ever-changing times.
We would like to thank the Executive Directors and the IEC Contractor Members who have
volunteered as Chapter Ambassadors. If you have not heard, the Chapter Ambassadors
are available to assist IEC Chapters who may need ideas to reach the next level of success.
The annual spring Membership Recruitment Campaign took place during the month of
March. Chapters were provided a recruiting toolkit to “Power Up” new membership. The
following chapters had the most net growth during March and will receive a $1,500 cash
grant from the IEC Foundation.
• Greater Texas: IEC Texas Gulf Coast
