Bret’s Electric was recognized for its work on the
            RE-4 Schools.
Windsor RE-4 school district worked hard to get a bond
project approved to improve the district. They recognized
their aging buildings were in need of an energy efficient
upgrade. Just over $4 million of the bond amount was
accounted for the improvement of the electrical, fire
alarm and technology systems within 242,000 square
feet of 5 buildings: Mountain View Elementary, Tozer
Elementary, Skyview Elementary, Windsor Middle School
and the District Administration Building. Bret’s Electric
was hand selected to be part of the GC/mechanical/
electrical contractor team through a unique interview
process that proved to be beneficial for the district.

Bret’s Electric coordinated the trash dumpsters, de-lamping positive impact on the summer work, but the spring
and lamp recycling, metal scrap recycling, as well as floor break work could not had been done without the help
protection and ceiling tile removal/re-installation for of a great partner and IEC member The Lighting Agency
the ambitious week. We were scheduled for seven work (TLA). Design schedules on this project were pushed
days to complete the task but were able to exceed our close to the spring break start date. While working with
projections. Bret’s Electric completed the 1,028 light fixture TLA, we were able to coordinate factory schedules to
transformation in four and a half days, just under 1,900 commit to produce and deliver the 1,028 fixtures within a
manhours. This jump on the schedule had an incredibly
two week timeframe, just before spring break started.
